  • Jane’s Juice is much different from store-bought juice for many reasons. Jane’s Juice is unpasteurized, cold- pressed, and fresh. Grocery store juice uses a centrifugal juicer, is pasteurized, and is not fresh.

  • Cold-press juicers (also known as masticating juicers) use a slow, gentle pressing method to extract juice from fruits and vegetables. This process minimizes heat and oxidation, helping to preserve vitamins, minerals, and enzymes for a more nutrient-dense, longer-lasting juice.

    Centrifugal juicers use fast-spinning blades to shred produce and separate the juice through high-speed spinning. While they’re quicker, the friction and heat they create can destroy some nutrients and cause juice to oxidize faster, reducing freshness and shelf life.

  • Pasteurization is a process that uses heat to kill harmful bacteria and extend a product’s shelf life. In juice production, the liquid is quickly heated and then cooled to make it safe for longer storage.

    While pasteurization helps keep store-bought juices fresh on shelves for weeks or months, the heat also destroys some of the natural enzymes, vitamins, and antioxidants that make fresh juice so nourishing.
